Low Syn Haribo Style Jelly Sweets

Virtually syn free Haribo style sweets made using sugar free jelly. So easy to make and the kids will love them too. Who knew these were Slimming World friendly? The perfect low syn snack!

These fake Haribo jelly sweets are my go to when I am feeling the need for something sweet and naughty. So perfect that I even make them for my own children and they can barely tell the difference between these and Haribo. (I just benefit from no sugar hype!)

The first thing you need to create the recipe is some tiny silicone molds. Without these they are pretty difficult to make. My favourite is the gummy bear mold because it makes the sweets more cute and friendly especially for the kiddos. I love this 3 Pack from Amazon.. it’s an absolute bargain and they even come with the little liquid droppers to help you fill the molds.

Are these best kept in the fridge once made or an airt tight box on the kitchen side? Thank you 🙂

Hi, I tried to make these and they turned out just like jelly?I copied the instructions to a tea, and left in the fridge for an hour. Any ideas? By 2 sachets of jelly do you mean a duo pack or 2 duo packs?

      Hi there
It’s 23g of jelly crystals which is 2 sachets.

This recipe works perfectly every time so you must have done something differently to the recipe.

Hello, firstly thanks so much for this website – I absolutely love it! I followed this recipe exactly but my little sweets wouldn’t come out of the moulds – any tips? The jelly just broke up. I left them in the fridge for about 2 hours to set and I used these silicone moulds:

thanks again for all the work you do for this website!

Hello! Yes, 2 packets (12g each), the same brand you use.

Unsure of what the problem could be. I make these every week and many followers do too. Can’t think of any other suggestion sorry.

I was really excited to try this out, but I am facing the same problem as Paris above. I followed the instructions carefully, but after 2 hours in the fridge, they’re nowhere near solid like you would expect from Haribo – they’re still just like jelly. I used the gelatine you suggested and followed the instructions on the pack, which says that you need 570ml per pack (so, a total of more than 1 litre of water for the 2 packs), which seems like a huge amount. Is that how much water you use?

Hi would love to try these but can I use vegetarian gelatine? Thanks

  11. Karen says:

Just a thought regarding the non setting….did anyone use vegan gelatin?? I did once and they were awful! They didn’t set, and were very grainy 😬I’m just about to make my umpteenth batch, blackcurrant this time, and they always turn out perfectly! 💕thank you for the recipe, they’re a dietsaver 😌

I made some of these last night as I am a huge lover of fruit gums – they turned out really well and surprise surprise my 9 year old had already popped 15 out by the time I came to put them in a jar. I did wonder if there is a way to get them more chewy – would you just add more gelatine ?

I was expecting these to be just like a haribo but realise they are just like a firmer jelly Very nice
