Syn Free Chicken Tikka Skewers | Slimming World Recipe

Ingredients:

(Serves 2-3)

4 Large Skinless Chicken Breasts Diced (could also use lamb)
300g Fat Free Natural Greek Style Yogurt
3 tbsp Tandoori Spice Mix
2 tsp Turmeric
5 tsp Lemon Juice
10 Cherry Tomatoes Halved (or Mushrooms)
2 Large Onions Sliced Into Large Chunks

Method:

  • Mix together Greek style yogurt, Tandoori spice mix, Turmeric and Lemon Juice together.
  • Dice chicken and add to the mixture. Cover and leave to marinade for at least one hour (overnight if possible).
  • Halve tomatoes and slice onion.
  • Thread chicken, tomatoes and onion onto wooden or metal skewer.
  • Preheat grill to high and grill your skewers for 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. (Also great for the BBQ).

Serve with syn free rice, salad and our Syn free Raita.

Syn Free Cauliflower Breakfast Muffins | Slimming World Recipe




Since breakfast is the best meal of the day.. try these delicious Syn free breakfast muffins. Just make sure you use the cheese from your Healthy Extra A allowance.

Ingredients:

(Makes around 12 small muffins)

1 Large Cauliflower
200g Tinned lean ham
Handful of Spinach
1/2 Finely chopped onion
5 Eggs beaten
1/4 Tsp Garlic granules
30g Low fat grated Cheddar cheese
Pinch of salt
Ground Black pepper
1/4 Tsp Paprika
Frylight

Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 180c and lightly spray a muffin tin with Frylight.
  • Cut the florets off of your cauliflower and add them to a food processor and blend. (Or grate if you don’t have a processor)
  • Finely cube your tinned ham, grate cheese and finely dice onion.
  • Add the beaten eggs, grated cheese and garlic powder to your cauliflower to mix together.
  • Fold in ham, onion, garlic, black pepper, paprika and spinach.
  • Fill each section around two thirds full and place into the oven for around 20-25 minutes until golden.

Syn Free Vanilla And Chocolate Ice Cream | Slimming World Recipe




If you are missing a delicious Ice cream treat on that warm summer’s day.. there really is an amazing Syn free alternative to the fattening stuff 🙂 This could also be made with a variety of other flavours.. You can use any Syn free Mullerlight yogurt. Check out our Mullerlight checker page to find out which ones are Syn free.

Ingredients:

2 Pots of Vanilla with chocolate Sprinkles Mullerlight yogurt
500g Fat free fromage frais
Sweetener to taste
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence

Method:

  • Mix together both pots of Mullerlight Yogurt and Fat free fromage frais.
  • Stir in your Vanilla Essence.
  • At this point.. taste your mixture and see if you feel it need’s any Sweetener. This really is a personal choice. I find that I just need to add 1/2 Tbsp.
  • Spoon your mixture into a covered tub and place into the freezer. Every 30 minutes remove from freezer and stir the mixture. This will prevent ice crystals from settling on the top. Do this until the mixture cannot be mixed anymore.

Other flavours to try:

Toffee (Use 2 pots of Toffee Mullerlight yogurt)
Banana (Use 2 pots of Banana Mullerlight yogurt and 1 whole banana chopped up)
Cherry (Use 2 pots of Cherry Mullerlight yogurt and some finely chopped cherries)

Syn Free Spaghetti Bolognese | Slimming World Recipe




A good old Spag Bol is one of my favourite Slimming World recipes because it’s totally Syn free and so filling. Also it’s great for a batch cook and perfect for reheating. This recipe will serve 3-4 people.

Ingredients:

500g Lean 5% Beef mince
3 Large mushroom
1 Medium Onion
1 Red pepper
1 Green pepper
2 Garlic cloves (or 2 Tsp garlic granules)
2 Beef stock cubes
1 Tsp Dried mixed herbs (or Oregano)
2 x 400g tins of chopped tomatoes
Salt and pepper
Frylight

Method:

– Finely chop onion, red pepper, green pepper and slice mushrooms.
– Spray a pan with Frylight, add mince and garlic and cook until mince is browned.
– Add peppers and onion and cook until softened.
– Add mushrooms, crushed stock cubes, dried mixed herbs, pinch of salt and pepper and chopped tomatoes.
– Cover with a lid and simmer on a medium heat for 25-30 minutes or a very low heat for 1 hour. Stir regularly.

Serve over Spaghetti, pasta or lots of Speed vegetables.

Syn Free Thai Green Chicken Curry | Slimming World Fakeaway Recipe




Ingredients:

For the paste:
3 Shallots
3 large garlic cloves (or 3 Tsp of garlic granules)
2 Tsp ground coriander
2 Lemongrass stalks
30g Root ginger (Or 2 Tbsp of ginger granules)
2 Red chillies (or 1 Tsp of lazy chilli)
Grated zest of 2 limes

Remaining Ingredients:
2 Medium onions
300ml Boiling chicken stock
650g Diced skinless chicken breast
225g Can sliced bamboo shoots, drained
1 Red pepper
15g Fresh coriander (Or 1/2 Tsp of ground coriander)
100g Fat free natural Greek yogurt
2 tbsp light soy sauce
Frylight

Method:

  • First to make the paste: Roughly chop shallots, remove outer leaves of lemongrass and roughly chop. Peel and roughly chop garlic and deseed and chop chillies. Grate limes. Add all of your paste ingredients to a food processor or Nutribullet and blend to a paste. Set aside.
  • Roughly chop your onions, chop red pepper and add them to a pan sprayed with Frylight. Cook on a medium heat for a few minutes. Add the curry paste that you created earlier and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add 300ml of boiling chicken stock and bring to the boil.
  • Stir in chicken, bamboo shoots, reduce the heat, cover with a lid and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes ensuring the chicken is cooked through. Stir occasionally.
  • Reduce heat further and add yogurt, soy sauce and Coriander. Simmer for 3 minutes and serve.

Serve over rice or with lots of delicious speed vegetables.
