Cheeseburger Pasta Bake

This cheeseburger pasta bake is quick and easy to make and is all the best parts of a cheeseburger. Delicious beef, cheesy cheese and batch cook friendly. This recipe is perfect for the whole family and Syn free too!

Ingredients

  • 500g Lean 5% Beef Mince
  • 250g Uncooked Pasta
  • 1 Onion [Diced]
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Puree
  • 1 Garlic Clove [Crushed]
  • 6 Cherry Tomatoes [Halved]
  • ½ tsp Colemans Mustard Powder
  • 2 Large Pickles [Diced]
  • 300ml Beef Stock
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 320g Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheese [Grated]
  • Pinch Salt
  • Low calorie cooking spray

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta following the instructions on the packet.
  • Spray a pan with a little bit of low calorie cooking spray. Add the mince and cook until browned.
  • Throw in garlic, mustard powder, paprika and a pinch of salt. Cook for 2 minutes over a medium heat.
  • Preheat the oven 200c/180c Fan/Gas 6
  • Add beef stock, tomatoes, pickles, onion and tomato puree. Allow to simmer uncovered for 10 – 15 minutes or until most of the liquid has reduced and the mixture is quite dry.
  • Mix in the pasta and then line a baking dish with all of the mixture.
  • Top with all of the grated cheese and pop into the oven for 20 – 25 mimutes or until golden brown.

    This looks lovely, but it does use 2 healthy extra a’s per portion, so no milk in your tea, etc. Personally I’ll try half the cheese!

    Very easy and successful recipe … only thing I did was rescue the tomato skins and throw them as family are picky! Thank you 😀
