Chicken Tikka Kebabs | Slimming World Friendly Recipe
Chicken Tikka Kebab is a delicious appetizer that is packed with flavor. It starts with chicken pieces marinated in yogurt along with lime juice and aromatic spices, then threaded onto skewers and cooked to create a delicious appetizer. Make it in the air fryer or oven to serve at the gathering, or include it into your meal prep for the week!
BBQ season is here.. the sun is shining (even here in Scotland) and following the Slimming World plan does NOT mean we have to miss out on a good BBQ with family and friends. Now it may be easier if you are hosting it yourself.. as taking all of your own Slimming World prepared food to the work BBQ maybe slightly awkward (but I am not saying it can’t be done).
One of my favourite BBQ foods is chicken skewers.. they are very lean, low fat and can be completley Syn free if coated in the right way. I don’t feel guilty devouring them one by one and all of the family love them! Who knew they were Syn free huh?
In all honesty though there are actually three ways of cooking these kebabs! Oven, BBQ or air fryer. So don’t be alarmed if you don’t fancy sparking the barbie up in November!
Why you’ll love this recipe….
- Delicious and full of flavour
- Suitable for the air fryer
- Syn Free on the Slimming World plan
- The kids will love these
- Easy to make
- Minimal effort
Batch Cook – Storage Information
- Fridge: Marinate the chicken and then keep in the fridge in an airtight container (because it really stinks the fridge out) and cook within 3 days.
- Reheat: I don’t suggest reheating. Freeze or store the marinated chicken before cooking.
- Freezer: Make a batch of the marinated chicken and freeze in small batches. Defrost before cooking as normal.
