Syn Free Cauliflower Breakfast Muffins | Slimming World Recipe




Since breakfast is the best meal of the day.. try these delicious Syn free breakfast muffins. Just make sure you use the cheese from your Healthy Extra A allowance.

Ingredients:

(Makes around 12 small muffins)

1 Large Cauliflower
200g Tinned lean ham
Handful of Spinach
1/2 Finely chopped onion
5 Eggs beaten
1/4 Tsp Garlic granules
30g Low fat grated Cheddar cheese
Pinch of salt
Ground Black pepper
1/4 Tsp Paprika
Frylight

Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 180c and lightly spray a muffin tin with Frylight.
  • Cut the florets off of your cauliflower and add them to a food processor and blend. (Or grate if you don’t have a processor)
  • Finely cube your tinned ham, grate cheese and finely dice onion.
  • Add the beaten eggs, grated cheese and garlic powder to your cauliflower to mix together.
  • Fold in ham, onion, garlic, black pepper, paprika and spinach.
  • Fill each section around two thirds full and place into the oven for around 20-25 minutes until golden.

28 Healthy Slimming World Breakfast Ideas To Start Off Your Day




Breakfast is the first and best meal of the day. So many people I know skip breakfast and honestly I am not quite sure how they manage it. Every morning my tummy is grumbling and if I had to wait until lunch time to eat I don’t think I could concentrate.

But following Slimming World makes Breakfast a bit of a chore in this house. I really struggle to think of new exciting things to eat and I tend end up having eggs most days. So I have compiled a list of Breakfast ideas to hopefully not only inspire me but others too.


Syn Free Ideas

  • Sliced Banana topped with a Syn free Mullerlight yogurt.
  • Sliced pear, honeydew melon, strawberries and Fat free Greek style yogurt.
  • Fried breakfast using Frylight: 2 Eggs, 2 Slimming World sausages, 2 Bacon medallions, Cherry tomatoes, 2 mushrooms and 1/2 tin of baked beans.
  • Scrambled egg mixed with smoke salmon and spinach.
  • 2 Syn free Hash browns, 1/2 tin of baked beans and scrambled eggs.
  • Scrambled eggs on top of spinach and some grilled tomatoes.
  • Raspberries, strawberries and blackberries covered in fat free natural yogurt.
  • Omelette with your choice of Syn free toppings. (Ham, bacon, spinach, mushrooms etc.)
  • Poached eggs and bacon with a Syn free Hash Brown.

Syn Free Using Healthy Extra A and/or B

  • Overnight oats.
  • Syn Free Cauliflower breakfast muffins.
  • Wholemeal toast topped with scrambled eggs.
  • 2 Soft boiled eggs with wholemeal soldiers.
  • A wholemeal English muffin filled with 1 Syn free hash Brown, 1 Fried egg (in Frylight) and 2 Slimming World Syn free sausages.
  • Cheese and tomatoes on Wholemeal toast.
  • Cheese on Wholemeal toast.
  • Grilled bacon medallion toasted sandwich.
  • Ryvita topped with smoked salmon and Philadelphia cheese.
  • Scrambled eggs mixed with smoked salmon on top of wholemeal toast.
  • Porridge topped with strawberries, blackberries and raspberries.
  • Baked oats.
  • 2 Alpen light bars crumbled over a Syn free Mullerlight yogurt and mixed berries.
  • Wholemeal toast with banana.
  • Poached eggs on wholemeal toast and tinned plum tomatoes.

Low Syn

  • 1 Syn pancakes topped with berries.
  • Wholemeal toast and Sugar free jam.
  • English muffin with Sugar free jam.
  • Porridge with a chocolate shot.

When I cook I always substitute oil with Frylight 1 Cal Spray. This spray is Syn free and it’s a HUGE healthy alternative to oil. I find the cheapest place to purchase this from is Home Bargains as its always on offer at around £1.45. But often it’s on offer in Iceland and other Supermarkets.

TOP 10 FAKEAWAY Recipes | Slimming World




The hardest thing about being on a diet and changing your eating habits is giving up the junk food and takeaways. We always try and make either Friday or Saturday evening “Fakeaway night” so that it doesn’t feel like we are completely being deprived of all of our favourite meals.

Low Syn Chocolate Mocha Mousse | Slimming World Recipe




A really low syn delicious chocolate mocha mousse.. I love this and so much less sugar than the supermarket “low fat” chocolate desserts. These are 3.5 Syns each.

Ingredients:

(makes 4 mousses)

50g dark chocolate
50g Fat free natural Greek style yogurt
1 Tsp Cocoa powder
Egg whites from 2 large eggs
2 Tsp Instant espresso coffee
1 Tbsp Sweetener

Method:

  • Separate the eggs and keep the egg whites only. Beat them until they form soft white peaks. Add the sweetener and beat until smooth. Store in the fridge.
  • Meanwhile Place broken chocolate, 2 tbsp water, coffee powder and cocoa powder into a large heatproof bowl and place over a pan of boiling simmering water. The bowl must not touch touch the water.
  • When the chocolate has completely melted, remove the bowl and add 2 tbsp of boiling water and stir.
  • Add the yogurt to the chocolate and beat until smooth.
  • Remove egg whites from the fridge and gently fold them into the chocolate mixture bit by bit with a metal spoon.
  • Divide into 4 and store in fridge for at least 20 minutes before serving.

Syn Free Crispy Breakfast Hash Browns | Slimming World Recipe




A “Full English” is not the same without a delicious hash brown in my opinion and these are delicious (and totally syn free yay)! They also make a great addition to a Sausage and Egg mcmuffin fakeaway.

Ingredients:

800g Floury potatoes (King edwards, Maris Pipers etc)
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Onion powder
1/2 Tsp Mustard powder
Frylight

Method:

  • Add water to a pan and bring to the boil.
  • Peel potatoes, add to boiling water and par boil for around 3-4 minutes.
  • Drain potatoes and run through cold water completely cooling them.
  • Grate potatoes into a bowl, then add salt, onion powder and mustard powder.
  • Use something like these egg rings on to a baking tray covered in fry light. Spoon mixture into each ring and spray the tops with fry light.
  • Place into oven for 20 minutes at 210c.
  • After 20 minutes remove from oven, remove the rings carefully, flip the hash browns and spray with a little more fry light before returning to the oven for a further 15-20 minutes.
